I took a swing at charging for RSStoKindle.com and missed.
To be honest, it hurts to spend months building something and be told it's not worth $7.
But the market is ruthless.
It doesn't care if you spent a lifetime on an idea or vibe coded it in 30 minutes. It doesn't care if you're losing money or making millions. The market wants a fair price for the value. That's it.
My cardinal sin was building a B2C product. People are allergic to subscriptions.
But this is a special project, its rewired my brain. My mornings are no longer spent scrolling reddit. For the first time in a long time, I'm reading more of what I chose. Not what the algorithm fed me.
So I'm leaning in and playing the long game. Build something I use daily, and continue making the product better until it's worth $7/month.
Worst case scenario I've improved my own life. Best case scenario I'm getting paid to improve other peoples lives. Wish me luck.
